Functional Duties:
• Responsible for compliance with accounting policies and local regulatory requirements (including corporate legal and accounting books)
• Timely and accurate financial and management reporting according to IFRS and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) on a monthly / quarterly / annual cycle, including the provision of support in the preparation of the monthly analytical review in accordance with GB group’s policies, procedures, and timelines
• Monthly payroll coordination, including external consultant and control of final salary and bonus payments
• Oversight and validation of financial and administrative information
• Facilitation / coordination of internal and external audits, and adherence to set timelines and qualitative requirements
• Ensure compliance with all valid group policies
• Responsible of local Accounting and oversight of Processing team (as applicable)
• Responsible for Contract Management
• Act as Global Blue’s representative in banking and administrative procedures
• Support and collaborate with Country Managing Director (CMD)
• Coordination and collaboration with the decentralized countries Finance Manager / VP Finance in the implementation of new projects
• Preparation of the annual forecast and budget in close cooperation with the CMD and the decentralized countries Finance Manager / VP Finance
• Monitoring of Receivables from local Tax Authorities
Skills
- Excellent English & Arabic language skills (oral & written)
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with teams distributed in different locations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Independent, pro-active, goal-oriented, strategic thinking and self-motivating personality
- Extensive accounting and controlling knowledge
- Experience in IFRS reporting
- Ability to multitask, work independently, prioritize own tasks, and meet deadlines
- MS Office knowledge esp. strong Excel skills
Qualifications and education requirements
• 2-4 years’ work experience in similar position within multinational companies
• Proven experience of local statutory GAAP
• Bachelor (BSc) in Accounting and/or Finance
