Work Flexibility: Field-based
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, upgrading, installation and setup of Stryker Products in the field while adhering to all company policies, standards and procedures and accepting responsibility for the quality of the work he / she executes.
What you will do:
Repairing of Company Products
- To troubleshoot company products
- To undertake the servicing, repairing and preventive maintenance of company products to the required standards
- To undertake the testing of company products and provide fully completed test and service reports
- To perform upgrades on company products as required.
- To fulfil Service Contracts with planned Preventive Maintenance visits.
- To ensure timely follow-up on all tickets / work orders.
- To work with the appropriate support functions as well as the customers to schedule customer visits.
Support
- To perform installation and setup for Stryker products in the field as required.
- To assist the regulatory affairs department / customer to action product recalls, field safety notices and field action notices.
- To provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- To escalate opportunities and issues, through appropriate channels.
Quality System
- To ensure all relevant repair / service information is filed in line with his / her On-Job Training.
- To follow all procedures including but not limited to Repairing, Testing and Calibration of company products as well as to verify the calibration status of the Tools and Fixtures he / she works with.
- To ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products by adding them to the install base, as required.
Continued Professional Growth
- To develop and deepen his relevant skills and knowledge towards the repairing of company products while making sure the knowledge is retained within the company.
- To stay up to date on compliance and legal aspects related to his / her job on an ongoing basis.
- To be aware of and to support continuously the development and implementation of the company quality system.
Who you are:
- Engineering background (Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Preferred. Biomedical, Telecommunications, accepted).
- Fluency in both spoken and written (technical and medical) English and local language.
- Previous experience in the Medical Technical Services field is an asset.
- Basic IP Networking knowledge is an asset.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Competent in Mechanical and Electrical / Electronic engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle customers professionally.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Team player.

- Service and quality oriented.
- Computer skills / literacy.
Travel Percentage: 90%
