Overview

We are seeking a Field Rotating Equipment Engineer to join Abqaiq Plant Maintenance Department.


The Abqaiq Plant Maintenance Department is an organization under the Southern Area Gas & Abqaiq Plants Producing admin area, and they are responsible for the day-to-day operations processing 5% of the global crude oil production.


As a Field Rotating Equipment Engineer, your primary role is to maintain, and optimize industrial plants and equipment. Also, to ensure safe and reliable operation.




Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:


  • Support and maintain day-to-day reliable operations, and minimize equipment out of service.  
  • Develop and manage rotating PM (Preventive Maintenance) programs, evaluating equipment performance, recommending improvements and new technologies.
  • Review and update the critical spare part list under your area and performing cataloguing activities.
  • Handle active maintenance work orders that includes ordering material, carryout shutdown items and new work and upgrades.
  • Develop contract scope of work and General coordination with vendors.
  • Projects design package review and execution.
  • Develop and mentorship young engineers. 


Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:


  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited university. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with advance knowledge and experience in the field of rotating Equipment. 
  • A knowledge in equipment reliability and failure troubleshooting. 
  • Professional engineering certifications such as: Vibration CAT-III, TapRoot, MLA II, CRL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the design and operating function of oil and gas facilities and equipment.
  • The ability to apply an engineering analysis and appraisal to Pre-commissioning and commissioning techniques and practices.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods & practices including: provide gas and steam turbine engineering field and office support when required by the plant and support pumps inspection and major overhaul.
  • Help the team to maintain the highest achievable life, availability and reliability of the plant rotating equipment by carrying out Root Cause Analysis, technology deployment, performance monitoring, etc.
  • Knowledge base of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals.
