This position reports to the Facilities Manager – THE LINE HUB 2 and will be responsible for supervising the auditing and monitoring activities of the Contractor and service providers within NEOM THE LINE Welfare Facilities. The Facilities Supervisor, THE LINE HUB 2 will also assist in developing and implementing audit plans, evaluating internal and external controls, assessing risk, and ensuring contractors and service providers are in compliance with laws and regulations. This is a NEOM client site-based role in KSA.
THE LINE HUB 2 is the extension of HUB 1 and consisting of 6 additional buildings with 60 desks in each and parking for 350 vehicles. Inclusive of all infrastructure and utilities for the new site.
Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Facilities Manager – THE LINE HUB 2 in his/her absence.
- Assist with developing and implementing audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the contractor’s internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
- Assist the FM in developing and implementing monitoring programs to ensure ongoing compliance with laws, regulations, and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular audits of the various O&M services provided by third-party contractors, such as janitorial services, landscaping, and building maintenance.
- Monitor the performance of the contractor and service provides to ensure that they are meeting their performance targets and quality standards.
- Provide guidance to organisation staff, the Contractor and service providers on audits, fraud prevention, and monitoring procedures.
- Identify areas of risk and recommend strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Work with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Prepare audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans, and present them to senior management and audit committees.
- Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including maintenance technicians, engineers, and service delivery staff, to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain customer confidence by ensuring confidentiality of company data as required.
- Analyze, summarise, and interpret data; make appropriate recommendations and decisions related to document management, write reports, and give oral presentations, as required.
- Plan, organise, prioritise and perform multiple tasks to perform job functions in an orderly manner.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in meetings and communicating updates and information to team members and other stakeholders as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, changes in regulations, and best practices in auditing and monitoring.
- Additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Head of On-Site Welfare Facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Strong knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in facility management, auditing and monitoring as well as regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in conducting audits of financial statements, operational processes, developing recommendations to improve controls and procedures.
- Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance practices.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to provide step-by-step detailed advice and solutions for remedying failures in service delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to articulate clearly and concisely. English proficiency is required, (both written and oral).
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, Google Suite, databases and audit management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Professional maturity and irreproachable integrity are obligatory.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA or CFE) preferred. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum ten (10) years experience in facility management, auditing and monitoring.
