Position: Estimator / QS Engineer (Railway Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for railway projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope, budget, and schedule
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Identify potential risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities
- Collaborate with project team members to develop project budgets and schedules
- Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to project management
- Review and negotiate change orders and provide cost impact analysis
- Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related input
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost databases and historical records
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost engineering and estimating
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost engineering and estimating, preferably in the railway industry
- Strong knowledge of cost engineering and estimating principles and techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
