ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER (SAUDI NATIONAL)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on writing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) reports. The candidate must have previous consultancy experience, specifically working on NEOM and Aramco projects, and have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, prepare, and review Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) reports in compliance with local and international environmental standards.
• Provide environmental engineering support on NEOM and Aramco projects, ensuring all environmental requirements are met and documented appropriately.
• Conduct environmental studies and surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
• Prepare environmental permits, approvals, and compliance reports for regulatory authorities.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure environmental considerations are incorporated into project designs and construction methods.
• Advise on environmental management strategies, including mitigation measures and risk assessments, for construction and operational phases of projects.
• Provide technical expertise in environmental regulations and sustainability, and best practices to guide project teams and clients.
• Collaborate with government bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
• Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and standards.
• Prepare and deliver environmental training programs to project staff and stakeholders as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• The applicant must be a Saudi National (mandatory).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on EIA and ESIA reports.
• Proven consultancy experience, specifically in working on NEOM and Aramco projects.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and international environmental standards.
• Expertise in environmental management, sustainability practices, and mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret environmental data and produce clear, comprehensive reports.
• Experience in liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring project compliance with environmental laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental modeling or assessment tools.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Aramco and NEOM-specific environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Certification in environmental management or sustainability (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED, etc.) is a plus.
