This position will be the Repair and Return Engineer or the Enhanced Repair Capability (ERC) Localization Program supporting the Global Patriot Deployment, Fielding, and Sustainment (DFS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The ERC program will provide test equipment, technical documentation, training and operation to perform diagnostics and repair for Patriot Air and Missile Defense System line replaceable units (LRU). This engineering position will require regular interaction with the DFS IPT based in the Continental Unites States (CONUS), the In-country Raytheon Saudi Arabia (RSA) Program Manager, the In-country ERC technical lead, and a KSA subcontractor, to successfully execute the ERC program. The Repair and Return Engineer will primarily perform the role at a Royal Saudi Air Defense Force (RSADF) military base in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This position will start as a CONUS position, based out of Andover, MA, and will transition to a full time OCONUS position based in Jeddah, KSA.
Responsibilities:
Support and guide a team of KSA nationals to develop documentation on the repair and return of Patriot LRUs
Interpret technical data packages (TDP) of Patriot LRUs and documentation.
Research and analyze repair procedures to enable the development of new procedures with supporting videos and references.
Understanding of and ability to discuss and teach technical data surrounding LRU repair, Shop Replaceable Units (SRU), and depot test equipment operations and maintenance.
Support a team of KSA nationals to run depot test equipment to test and troubleshoot LRUs and perform repair operations on complex radar and ECC/ICC electronic devices.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of advanced electronic devices
Experience with advanced test station operation and maintenance
Experience in engineering design and development, preferably related to test equipment development efforts
Knowledge and experience in the utilization of common industry external test equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers
Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time critical requirements
Excellent communication skills
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and application of Maintenance and Logistics principles
Knowledge with Patriot System and associated end items
Knowledge of Depot Test Equipment including the PAT 244, 247, 248, CLET, VME, Crowbar, CDU, S9000 and DIT-MCO
Knowledge of maintenance, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues of hardware and test
Knowledge of test measurement techniques for evaluation of hardware issues
Experience in Mechanical design in Cooling and Hydraulics
Experience in Electrical and Electronics diagrams and circuitry
Experience with basic video editing software
Software applications / programming skills
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR an associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required a degree. Minimum 4+ years of experience in logistics, depot, or engineering lab environment and/or equivalent business experience.
