Job Description
Chef De Partie
As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, working alongside our professional culinary team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest quality of food preparation, cooking, and service to meet our guests' expectations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our culinary offerings by providing well-considered ideas, opinions, and suggestions for menu enhancements and kitchen operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to property recipes and standards in the preparation of all food items for à la carte and/or buffet menus, maintaining consistency and quality at all times.
- Maintain effective communication with all kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and optimal guest satisfaction.
- Actively seek and respond to guest feedback, using it to inform and improve culinary practices and overall dining experiences.
- Demonstrate proficiency in working under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment, whilst maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under high-pressure situations in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively and productively within a professional culinary team.
- Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification from a recognised institution.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to new culinary techniques and trends.
Additional certifications in specialised culinary areas will be considered an advantage.
