Responsibilities:
- To supervise the electrical maintenance activities in area of steam and gas turbine generators, boiler, HRSG, fuel facility and BOP in the plant with the objective of increasing unit efficiency, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Participate within daily PDR meeting, as well as weekly planning and scheduling meeting, to plan maintenance activities in a proactive manner.
- Supervise and follow-up implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance works on all electrical equipment ( i.e. Turbine Generator and Excitation system, LV , MV & DC Motors with LCP, LV & MV Switchgears, breakers, capacitor banks, cables, Batteries, DC Chargers, UPS, LV transformer, Exciter, ESP transformer with local panels, EDG, heat tracing system ,GCB ,IPB , NSBD in the STG units, fuel facilities) in the plant as per manufacturer/RCM recommendations to ensure unit availability and maintainability.
- Prioritize, supervise and follow-up implementation of corrective maintenance works for the power generation units in the plant as per manufacturers' recommendations to ensure unit availability and maintainability.
- Manage the implementation of major maintenance plan, coordinating with contractors and maintenance planning section, within predefined scope of work to ensure reliability of plant operation and effective maintenance.
- Establish and implement guidelines for technical evaluations of material offers from vendors to ensure they meet original/required specifications.
- Ensure material availability for all types of outages to guarantee reliability of plant operation.
- Review Technical reports of TSR studies; prepare/review scope of work and other technical studies requests, ensuring adherence to codes, regulations and standards in preparation of such reports.
- Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of maintenance activity is carried out in an efficient manner, and consistent with operating and maintenance procedures and policy.
- Ensure the departmental and safety KPI compliance.
- Ensure incidents and maintenance reports preparation relating to major outages, abnormalities, major equipment history, safety and maintenance history in order to monitor performance, ensure deviations are rectified and maintenance.
- Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, with potential performance improvement opportunities capitalized upon.
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of maintenance activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of maintenance activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure the availability of all special tools, consumables and PPE's required to perform the job.
- Ensure tools audit and maintain records.
- Coach, train and provide guidance to subordinate staff to ensure increasing their capabilities and maximize their output.
- Raise any required TSR/AR.
- Ensure material, equipment and spare parts availability for all types of overhauls and maintenance works to ensure reliability of operation.
- Create preventive maintenance tasks in reference to manufacturing recommendation or reliability procedure.
- Supervise execution for approved minor CAPEX.
