Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Design electrical systems, components, and circuits for various applications (e.g., power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, etc.).
- Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
- Perform simulations and modeling to validate electrical designs.
- Select appropriate electrical components, materials, and equipment based on technical specifications and performance requirements.
- System Analysis and Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and assess electrical systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify electrical malfunctions and devise solutions.
- Test electrical equipment and systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management:
- Lead or participate in electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs and implementations comply with national and international electrical standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, ANSI).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations, safety codes, and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Perform tests on prototypes, systems, and equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Develop test plans and analyze data to improve electrical designs and manufacturing processes.
- Recommend modifications to improve the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of electrical systems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and specifications for projects.
- Maintain accurate records of designs, revisions, test results, and compliance reports.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, software engineers, etc.) to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Communicate complex electrical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support during the commissioning, operation, and maintenance phases of electrical systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Understanding of control systems, power generation, and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required) or relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, Project Management Professional).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and solving electrical issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and reporting results.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in design, documentation, and testing processes.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Skills
Minimum of five (5) years’ & above experience in industrial, power plant execution, construction project in GCC/SAUDI ARABIA with Saudi Engineering Council (SCE) and authenticated DIPLOMA
