Job Description
Designing Electrical Systems:
- Develop blueprints and technical specifications for electrical systems, from power generation to wiring in buildings, industrial plants, and other infrastructures.
- Select and specify electrical components like transformers, circuits, and control systems based on the project's needs and requirements.
Power Generation and Distribution:
- Work on the design, operation, and maintenance of power generation systems (e.g., solar, wind, hydroelectric, and conventional fossil fuel plants).
- Design and optimize electrical distribution networks to ensure efficient and safe delivery of electricity.
Circuit Design and Analysis:
- Design and simulate electrical circuits and systems to ensure they meet the desired specifications for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Use software tools like MATLAB, AutoCAD, or specialized circuit design tools to model and analyze electrical components.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Perform electrical testing on systems, components, or prototypes to ensure they work as intended and meet standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, whether in power systems, industrial machinery, or electrical equipment, and provide effective solutions to mitigate problems.
Project Management:
- Lead or collaborate with teams of engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders on projects to design and implement electrical systems.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that electrical systems and projects comply with national and international safety codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
- Implement safety protocols during the design, installation, and maintenance phases to prevent accidents or equipment failure.
System Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, both for clients and within organizations.
- Plan and execute upgrades or modifications to improve system performance or adapt to new technologies.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:
- Design systems that optimize energy use and reduce waste. This can involve improving the energy efficiency of existing systems or integrating renewable energy sources (solar, wind, etc.).
- Work on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and sustainable practices to help clients reduce their carbon footprint and operating costs.
Skills
6 years experience at least in Medium Voltage ( non-Saudi )
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, electromagnetism, control systems, and power systems.
- Expertise in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, PSpice, MATLAB) and other tools for circuit analysis and system simulation.
Problem Solving:
- Ability to identify and solve complex electrical issues, whether during the design phase or when troubleshooting malfunctioning systems.
