General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for various hospitality and commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with project teams to develop electrical design strategies that meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Conducting detailed feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate electrical systems requirements.
- Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
- Ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction phases.
- Coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution and resolve technical issues.
- Performing site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify electrical installations meet design specifications and project milestones.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams as needed.
- Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in electrical engineering.
Skills
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Approximately 8 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering roles, with a successful track record in delivering hospitality or commercial construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Experience within a Project Management Consultancy or similar organization is advantageous.
