Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled
Elastic Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Elastic Cloud, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and data pipelines. In addition, expertise in working with
BigQuery,
MongoDB, and
SQL queries is highly desirable. Experience with
GoLang development is a plus, providing further enhancement to our data and reporting capabilities. You will be responsible for managing Elasticsearch clusters, designing dashboards, building reports, and integrating data from multiple sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Elastic Cloud Administration:
+ Deploy, configure, and manage Elastic Cloud infrastructure.
+ Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Elasticsearch clusters for performance, security, and scalability.
+ Manage index lifecycle, configure efficient indexing strategies, and ensure high data availability.
Kibana Dashboards & Reporting:
+ Design and maintain
Kibana dashboards for real-time data visualization and insights.
+ Develop complex queries and visualizations using
Elasticsearch and
Kibana.
+ Automate and generate reports based on Elasticsearch data, ensuring they align with business requirements.
Data Pipeline Management:
+ Design, build, and manage scalable
data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from various sources into
Elasticsearch.
+ Integrate data from sources such as
BigQuery,
MongoDB, and
SQL-based databases into Elasticsearch for real-time analysis.
+ Ensure the smooth flow of data across systems and maintain data consistency and quality.
BigQuery, MongoDB, and SQL Integration:
+ Extract, transform, and load data from
BigQuery,
MongoDB, and relational databases (using
SQL queries).
+ Write and optimize
SQL queries for integrating structured data from relational databases into Elasticsearch.
+ Work with unstructured and semi-structured data stored in
MongoDB, ensuring efficient queries and transformations.
GoLang Development (Plus):
+ Assist in developing backend applications using
GoLang to improve data manipulation, real-time analytics, and report generation.
+ Build and integrate services that interface with Elasticsearch, BigQuery, and other data platforms.
Data Security & Compliance:
+ Implement security best practices for Elasticsearch, including access control, encryption, and authentication (X-Pack, TLS).
+ Ensure compliance with industry regulations for data privacy and implement effective backup/recovery solutions.
Collaboration & Documentation:
+ Collaborate with
data engineering,
BI, and
DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration of Elasticsearch with other data platforms.
+ Document processes, configurations, and operational guidelines for managing the Elastic Cloud infrastructure and associated data pipelines.
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience with
Elastic Cloud, Elasticsearch administration, and Kibana.
Strong expertise in building
Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and generating reports.
Experience with
Elasticsearch indexing, cluster management, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in building and managing
data pipelines, particularly with
BigQuery,
MongoDB, and
SQL databases.
Strong
SQL query writing skills and experience working with relational databases.
Hands-on experience with
GoLang development (a plus).
Familiarity with
DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure for Elastic Cloud.
Knowledge of
security features for Elasticsearch (TLS, X-Pack) and data protection best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
data pipeline tools such as
Logstash,
Beats, or similar.
Experience with
cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for hosting and scaling Elasticsearch clusters.
Familiarity with
ETL processes and working with large datasets in
BigQuery and
MongoDB.
* Experience with
API development and integrations using GoLang or similar technologies.
