To coordinate all safety activities including preparing internal and external reports. To coordinate and carry out audits and reviews according to the targets set by the company. To develop the activities of the operations engineers & supervisors through a training program to enable them to manage the Health, Safety and Environment requirements in their respective sites and technicians and to be involved in its delivery. To make available assistance and technical support concerning safety periodical requirements. To train engineers & supervisors on investigations on accidents in their departments and to share with them on those investigations. To train engineers & supervisors on detecting Hazards and risks and to share with them those detections & follow up the effectiveness of their training & audits. To conduct Unannounced audits to ensure that EH&S requirements are being implemented as mentioned before and to include reviewing documentation supporting this process. Comply with the Safety Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements Recommend improved EH&S practices. Ensure that the workplace is safe for all employees (both office staff and field employees). Monitor that the system of communications is effective so that all the employees get regular communications regarding safety in the form of TBT’s. Monitor that the system exists for auditing the tools and ensure all employees are provided with proper tools which are duly certified. Conduct written Risk Assessment for new projects and as required. Monitor the recognition and disciplinary action implementation. Ensure that all external audits observations are attended on the given deadlines. Monitor that all accidents are getting reported on a timely manner and thereafter corrective and preventive actions are taken on the right time to prevent further occurrences. Ensure all the safety records are maintained in a very methodical way. Proven experience as Safety officer minimum 05 years. NEBOSH IGC and IOSH managing safely certifications. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. - Occupational health and safety management certification Knowledge of OSHA. First Aid and fire fighting certifications. Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices. Experience in writing reports and policies for Health and Safety. Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics. Proficient in MS Office. Excellent organizational skills. Diligent with great attention to details. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics. BSC/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred. Certificate in Health and Safety field. Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
