II. POSITION SUMMARY
The QAQC Electrical Instrument & communication Inspector is responsible to ensure that all field construction and pre-commissioning activities are performed in accordance with the provisions of the Construction Quality Plan and AP Engineering Requirements.

IV. DIMENSIONS:
- Coordinating with site construction electrical Instrument & communication Engineers, & EPC Contractors E&I, communication Engineers/ Inspectors.
- Working in a Medium -Mega size Solar Project
- Multi- project Type: PV Solar, BESS, Sub-station, EHV electrical equipment’s upto 380 KV.
V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
An approved QA/QC Electrical Instrument & communication inspector has the responsibility and commensurate authority to accomplish the following duties:
- Reporting to the Lead QAQC.
- Monitoring and implementation of QMS Procedures, PQP, ITP & method statements and reporting deviations from management system / contractual requirements of the projects.
- Perform site inspection to verify that all necessary inspections and tests, as required by the project and statutory regulations, are carried out and appropriate records are updated and maintained.
- Coordinating quality activities with subcontractors and any other individual parties who may be working on the same site.
- Coordination with clients / third party, in accordance with approved ITP, for agreed witness inspections & tests.
- Coordination with Engineering.
- Tracking and ensuring close-out of all snags / punch-points within the time frame agreed with the client.
- Reviewing and performing material receiving inspection as per company and client requirements, applicable standards / specifications etc.
- Performing assigned in-process and final products inspection and tests.
- Monitoring all installation and inspection of electrical instrumentation & communication work with respective of Quality ITPs and Checklist.
- Evaluate the Factory Acceptance Test Reports
- Preparing inspection & test reports of completed inspections & tests.
- Ensuring all equipment’s, tools and materials meet with the project quality requirements and that personnel have been adequately trained to use them safely.
- Identification of non-calibrated equipment’s and informing Subcontractor QC for expediting arrangements with Calibration agencies for timely calibration of the equipment’s.
- Liaison with client representative concerning quality matters on site.
- To be conversant with the company QHSE procedures & policies and ensure that all the people on the site observe and implement them.
- Identifying near miss and nonconformities in materials, products, processes, procedures and reporting the near miss / nonconformities in the near miss / nonconformity report.
- Verification of implementation of corrective & preventive actions against the nonconformities and reporting results to QA/QC Engineer and line managers, if necessary.
- Preparation of final quality dossiers / test packs and maintaining backups of completed quality dossiers / test packs.
- Participate in Construction and Mechanical Completion Walkdowns.
- Submitting weekly report and requested information / statistics to Department QAQC Manager.
- Liaison with QAQC Manager for all aspects of quality.
This position is accountable for the following end results:
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma, in an appropriate Engineering. discipline
- Minimum 08 Yrs QC experience with direct scope description as instrument inspector/or supervisor.
- Knowledge of the ISO-9000 series International Standards
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Have a working knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards.
- Have a through working knowledge of electrical and instrument installations including materials, methods, specifications for Solar PV projects.
- Shall be familiar with the international industry codes and standards.
- Witness and inspect testing of single and multimode Fiber optic cables/OSP, CAT 6&6A, Co – axial cables and communication hardware.
- Full knowledge for SCADA, PLC, LAN network cable, Security system, Video Management System & Recording, Hotline & IP Telephone and Public Address and IT cabinets.
- Carryout Inspections for Physical Security, CCTV, Access Control System, Radio System, Ethernet, wireless, SDH/PDH system and weather monitoring systems
- Knowledge of the ISO-9000 series International Standards,
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and other electrical international standards.
- Strong communicator written and oral.
- Strong and effective coordinator
- Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks.
- Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
- Report writing skills.
- Experience of working in a multicultural project team
- Middle East project experience
