Foreground is partnering with a leading retailer in Saudi Arabia to hire a visionary Dropship Category Manager. This role is critical to the success of the drop shipping program, requiring strategic oversight, operational excellence, and leadership in vendor management.


As the Dropship Category Manager, you will bridge the gap between vendors, service providers, IT teams, and merchandising departments to ensure a seamless operation. You'll oversee vendor selection, optimize onboarding processes, and ensure adherence to compliance standards. Furthermore, you will analyze market trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Vendor Management & Compliance:
    • Select, onboard, and manage vendors and dropship providers to build a competitive and diverse assortment.
    • Develop and enforce vendor compliance policies, including service level agreements and performance benchmarks.
    • Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure smooth day-to-day functionality.
  • Strategic Growth:
    • Identify category opportunities aligned with business objectives.
    • Evaluate product feasibility, including pricing, shipping logistics, and market competitiveness.
    • Collaborate with vendors to optimize product assortment and maximize throughput.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Drive onboarding processes by training team members, assigning tasks, and optimizing timelines.
    • Work closely with IT and logistics teams to integrate new carriers and implement process improvements.
    • Ensure all critical paths to go live are streamlined across vendor agreements, data setup, and technology readiness.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes and align with organizational goals.

Requirements


  • A Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in dropship or e-commerce operations, retail/B2C roles, and category management.
  • Technical aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills in Excel are a must).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use metrics and data to guide decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing operational processes and implementing strategic growth plans.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across functions and inspire teams.
