Context


This AMIRAL Project, jointly developed by Saudi Aramco and Total, will be a large-scale integrated petrochemical facility (including a mixed feed cracker, downstream derivatives units, integration, utilities, and other support facilities).


  • This is located adjacent to and integrated with the Jubail Export Refinery currently owned and operated by Saudi Aramco & Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP); a Saudi Aramco and Total joint venture.
  • The existing (and future) industries are (and will) be located at the AL-Jubail Industrial City II industrial area, established west of Jubail, on the east coast of The Kingdom and will be subject to regulation by the Royal Commission for Jubail And Yanbu (RCJY).

The project is to develop a wastewater treatment and reuse plant to receive the wastewater and spent caustic streams from a series of plants located at the AMIRAL facility, recover a target of 70% of the flows, and deliver Demineralized water to the clients.


The main treatment process will include the following key stages:


  • Flow Balancing of influent streams
  • Catalytic Oxidation and Cyanide Treatment
  • DAF clarification for TSS oily waste removal
  • Biological Treatment / MBBR and Bio-DAF clarification
  • Submerged Ultra-Filtration (SUF) pre-treatment for high grade reuse stream
  • Reverse Osmosis for removal of soluble salts to produce high grade process water for reuse
  • Mixed Bed Ion Exchange (MBIX) to generate a highgrade demineralised water for reuse.
  • Brine will be treated through Multilfo, Ozonation, BAF, break point chlorination and GAC
  • Sludge will be dewatered

The Project will be developed under a non-recourse project finance scheme, whose sponsors are Veolia and MARAFIQ. A project company will be established and resourced to deliver the project within the required timeframe.

Maintain project documents and records. Ensure that accurate information is distributed throughout the project team, on time, and to the people who need it. Responsibilities include compiling contracts, archiving files and ensuring all team members have access to necessary documentation. Additionally implement procedures maintaining transparent, up-to-date and easily traceable documents.


Detailed Job Description


  • Oversee the efficient organization, storage, retrieval, and distribution of project-related documents, ensuring proper version control.
  • Facilitate seamless communication among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders by managing document flow.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate accurate and timely information exchange.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation in collaboration with project managers and engineers.
  • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records of all project documents.
  • Assist in archiving and cataloging historical project records.
  • Control project documentation, follow and improve document control procedures, and ensure compliance with formal requirements and standards.
  • Sort, store, and retrieve electronic and hard copy documents for the project team.
  • Produce document progress reports and conduct regular reviews and audits.
  • Distribute documents using software or physical systems at key project milestones.
  • Check and edit files for accuracy, and review and update technical documents.
  • File documents in both physical and digital records, creating templates for future use.
  • Manage the flow of documentation within the project team and maintain confidentiality around sensitive information.
  • Control the flow of documents in and out of the project and report errors or developments regarding document storage.
  • Ensure the secure destruction and disposal of sensitive documents.
  • Update and maintain document management systems and physical records.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in large-scale industrial projects, preferably within the petrochemical or wastewater treatment sector.
  • Proficiency in document control softwares.
