About the Role


The Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Director is a critical role within the Central Development Unit (CDU) as part of the Centre of Excellence for Qiddiya's giga project. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, manage, and execute comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies. These strategies will focus on driving effective collaboration and clear communication across internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to support the implementation of new ways of working (WoW) and the CDU’s mandate. This role also plays a pivotal part in promoting change management initiatives aligned with the project's strategic goals, Vision 2030, and the Centre’s ongoing transformation efforts.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Stakeholder Engagement Strategy & Relationship Management:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure alignment and collaboration across internal and external partners involved in the project.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders, including QIC internal teams, external stakeholders and other relevant partners.
  • Organize workshops, events, and milestone meetings to foster collaboration and provide updates on the Centre’s progress and objectives.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with stakeholders, ensuring trust and transparency while aligning stakeholder priorities with the CDU’s goals and strategies.
Change Management & Communications Plan Development:
  • Lead the creation of communication plans for change management initiatives, specifically aimed at implementing new Ways of Work (WoW) and the CDU's revised operating model.
  • Ensure that communication strategies reflect the Centre’s mandate and operational excellence, promoting understanding and adoption of new processes across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Design Excellence, IT, HR, and training departments, to ensure a cohesive messaging framework across all communication channels.
  • Oversee the development of internal communication tools, including online platforms, training modules, and video content, to support the Centre’s transformation and learning objectives.
Marketing & Strategic Communications:
  • Lead marketing initiatives that highlight the success stories and strategic vision of the Centre of Excellence and CDU, positioning its mandate of why, how and when.
  • Develop content for internal communications, presentations, newsletters and regular updates to the teams on CDU’s activitie.
  • Ensure clear and consistent messaging across various communication platforms to reinforce the Centre’s mission, values, and progress towards achieving operational excellence.
Monitoring & Feedback:
  • Design and implement systems to gather feedback from stakeholders, ensuring insights are used to continuously improve engagement strategies and communication processes.
  • Monitor stakeholder engagement metrics, and adjust communication strategies based on performance data and stakeholder feedback to ensure that project goals are met effectively.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the CDU leadership on the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement and communication efforts, along with recommendations for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training Support:
  • Coordinate with training teams to ensure that stakeholder engagement and communication strategies are integrated into the broader training and development plans.
  • Work alongside the Centre of Excellence and HR teams to deliver stakeholder training sessions, including workshops, seminars, and e-learning modules, focusing on new processes, systems, and CDU initiatives.
  • Act as a central point of communication for aligning CDU strategies with Qiddiya’s corporate functions, ensuring that engagement and communication efforts support broader business objectives.
