About the location:
AMAALA is situated along Saudi Arabia’s northwest coast and is home to some of the most diverse natural environments. Marking a new chapter for comprehensive wellness tourism, Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay will feature 220 keys comprising of rooms and suites, as well as villas with their own private pools, and 26 branded residential villas, all thoughtfully designed to offer breathtaking bay and sea views. The resort will include a luxury spa nestled within its garden of tranquility and inspiration featuring a sculptured waterfall. The Organic Spa Garden will be a focal point and treatment experience set to stimulate the senses, offering extensive therapeutic remedies including halotherapy, cryotherapy, and advanced skin therapies. For fitness enthusiasts, the property will offer a bespoke collaboration with fitness trainer Harley Pasternak to seamlessly merge high-performance training with the limitless potential of Triple Bay’s 300 hectares (741 acres) of untouched hills, wadis, and beaches. The pristine terrain includes trails perfect for canyoning and exploring the rugged cliffs and valleys. Guests and residents can also take part in an array of guided hikes, mountain biking, and equestrian bridle trails, or work on their game at the spectacular 27-hole oceanfront golf course.
About the Role
The Director of Wellness and Spa is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive wellness strategy that integrates Spa operations, fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and outdoor wellness experiences. This role champions a resort-wide approach to wellness, aligning with the resort’s vision of delivering transformative and luxurious guest experiences. The Director ensures seamless integration of wellness principles into every aspect of the guest journey, staying ahead of industry trends to position the resort as a leader in the wellness sector.
What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a wellness vision and strategy that encompasses Spa, fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and outdoor activities.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to align wellness initiatives with the resort’s luxury positioning.
- Act as an advocate for wellness across the property, ensuring integration into accommodations, dining, and guest experiences.
- Monitor global trends to keep the resort at the forefront of wellness innovation.
Guest Engagement and Personalization
- Design personalized wellness programs for guests, including pre-arrival and on-property experiences.
- Develop signature treatments and wellness offerings that reflect the unique environment of Amaala.
- Partner with guest services to deliver transformative experiences that exceed guest expectations.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily Spa and wellness operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Maintain all facilities, including treatment rooms and fitness areas, to the highest luxury standards.
- Regularly review guest feedback and satisfaction metrics to enhance wellness offerings.
Program Development and Partnerships
- Create and manage a calendar of wellness-focused events, retreats, and workshops.
- Build partnerships with leading wellness organizations and integrate innovative technologies into offerings.
- Collaborate with external experts to deliver cutting-edge programs.
Financial Oversight
- Manage the wellness department’s budget, ensuring sustainable profitability.
- Develop revenue strategies for memberships, retreats, and product sales.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize revenue streams.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including Spa therapists, fitness instructors, and wellness coaches.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and guest-centricity.
- Provide ongoing training to ensure the team stays updated on the latest wellness practices and trends.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Wellness Management, or related fields; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years in luxury hospitality or wellness management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience integrating wellness into luxury guest experiences.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of global wellness trends and practices in Spa, fitness, and nutrition.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Outstanding guest service skills and the ability to curate bespoke experiences.
