Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Business Development will lead the strategic growth initiatives for the luxury resort, ensuring revenue optimization, market expansion, and the establishment of key partnerships. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, strong networking capabilities, and the ability to identify and act on emerging opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the resort's vision and objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
Revenue Growth:
- Drive initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimize room bookings, events, and other revenue streams.
Partnership Development:
- Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with luxury brands, travel agencies, corporate clients, and influencers.
- Build strong relationships with regional and international stakeholders to promote the resort as a premier luxury destination.
Market Expansion:
- Expand the resort's presence in existing and new markets, targeting high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), VIP guests, and exclusive clientele.
- Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and global luxury travel forums.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Brand Positioning:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
- Enhance the resort's reputation as a top-tier luxury destination.
Performance Metrics:
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on progress and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, preferably in luxury hospitality or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and securing high-value partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the luxury market and cultural nuances, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
