To lead the strategic development and implementation of design control and approval processes, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, and to optimize the overall efficiency and quality of design activities in the company

Our client is one of the largest brownfield project in the Region focused on historial, cultural ,hospitalty assets.

Description

Design Control and Approvals
Provide strategic direction for design control and approval processes within the company collaborating with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate design control goals with overall project objectives.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to facilitate alignment of design activities with project requirements.Drive the development and implementation of design control procedures to maintain compliance with the client standards and specifications.Manage and streamline the design approval process, promptly addressing and resolving any issues to ensure timely and efficient approval for project milestones.Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in design control and approval processes, staying abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to facilitate the implementation of innovative and effective strategies.Identify and mitigate risks associated with design control and approval processes, ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential challenges.Oversee Vertical Assets Design, and Infrastructure and Public Realm Design activities to maintain compliance with established design guidelines and quality benchmarks.


Permit Breach Monitoring and Resolution
Monitor design permit breaches, identify and address deviations from established guidelines, and track and report on the number of such breaches to assess and ensure compliance.Efficiently resolve permit-related disputes or challenges and measure and report the successful resolution of such issues to contribute to the seamless progression of projects.


Regulatory Compliance and Permit Management
Evaluate potential permits and licenses required for prospective projects, considering their impact on the project timeline, with the aim of optimizing the approval process and ensuring timely commencement of projects.Prepare detailed reports to secure government approvals for design permits, maintaining alignment with the detailed master plan and other guidelines.


Coordinate and collaborate with pertinent government entities to develop and establish fines and penalties associated with construction works involving non-heritage assets, to facilitate adherence to regulations and promote responsible construction practices.



Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and accredited University.Master's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and accredited University is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication; Fluency in Arabic and English.Certification in Design Management (CDM).8+ years of professional experience in Design Control and Approvals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in a development organization.A proven track record of dynamic and successful leadership in Design Control and Approvals.A proven track record of deploying forward-looking strategic, managerial, and operational methods.Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations for the development sector within KSA.
