Could you be the full-time onsite Depot Equipment Lead Design Engineer in AlUla, SA we’re looking for?



Your future role


"Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive depot equipment design expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead and manage the engineering and design of depot equipment for our pivotal railway project, making a significant impact on our operational capabilities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as track, MEP, and buildings), interface with subsystems and civil partners to ensure seamless integration, and much more."


We’ll look to you for:


  • Challenging and coordinating design documents from suppliers and integrating them with other subsystems where necessary,


  • Following up on the planning of the design phase and ensuring timely submission of DML items according to the DEQ scope,


  • Respecting and controlling submission dates to align with project timelines and milestones,


  • Following up on DFQ processes to ensure high document quality and compliance,


  • Ensuring timely gate reviews during design and project phases, providing the necessary evidence for approvals,


  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary and functional teams to align depot equipment design with overall project objectives,


  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations,


  • Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for procurement, installation, and commissioning activities,


  • Providing technical guidance to the team and monitoring design deliverables within the project’s timeline and budget,


  • Ability to work in remote areas and adapt to the challenges of working on-site in remote or developing locations

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering,


  • Experience or understanding of depot equipment design and integration within railway projects,


  • Knowledge of engineering principles and design practices,


  • Ability to challenge and coordinate design documents from suppliers,


  • Proficiency in project management and planning,


  • Excellent communication and leadership skills,


  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary project coordination,


  • Capability to work in remote areas and demonstrate adaptability
