Deal Structuring Senior Manager will support the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of Deal Structuring in leading innovative deal structuring solutions to execute key initiatives of the NEOM Investment Office. Working in collaboration with the business teams, the Deal Structuring Senior Manager will be responsible for the analytics, financial modeling, capital raising and investment thesis to implement NEOM’s investment strategy.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES



Responsibilities


  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of NEOM’s Investment strategy.
  • Contribute to NEOM investment objectives and goals by providing innovative deal structuring options to support NEOM’s strategy.
  • Champion screened deals with origination while accurately communicating critical elements of deal structuring, economics, and risks to leadership team throughout approval process.
  • Undertake due diligence of various opportunities that Investment team is evaluating & identify deal options keeping in view the strategic objectives of NEOM.
  • Evaluate various structuring alternatives including partnership structures, capital raising & project financing such as capital market structures, structured finance, and investment possibilities and advise the optimized structure keeping in view NEOM’s Investment Team’s vision.
  • Develop long term and sustainable relationships with financial advisors, financing institutions, government stakeholders and investors that deliver the required outcomes for NEOM.
  • Coordinate & align with all the relevant internal stakeholders including the NEOM sector heads, taxation team, finance, and treasury teams.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors including legal, technical, accounting for the successful execution of shortlisted deal structures (s)
  • Develop a deal wise dashboard highlighting key aspects of deal by leveraging qualitative and feasibility aspects of the transactions.
  • Provide regular updates to the NEOM Investment team.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


  • 8 years’+ work experience in investments, banking, advisory, infrastructure sectors
  • Strong experience in deal structuring, capital raising, financial advisory.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with an ability to develop dynamic financial models independently
  • Strong financial analytical skills with an ability to develop and analyze investment business plans
  • Excellent relationships & network with external stakeholders including project financing institutions and investment funds
  • Proven experience of infrastructure development, private equity investment, including deal structuring, execution of complex financing products including Project and infrastructure financing, capital markets experience in a leading multi-national company
  • Strong advocate of influencing change in organizations
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations and understanding in leading or being part of -functional projects across a global cross-functional team
  • Experience engaging with C-level of any partner organization

Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • A strong independent negotiator and collaborator with significant experience of proven successful deal origination and closure; established client network across sector, industry, private equity investors, developers, financing institutions.
  • Skilled communicator who can influence a wide audience via balanced approach to deals and a clear understanding / presentation of risks
  • Ability to solicit interest and champion unique approaches/ originate solutions, think outside the box and formulate those ideas into a transactional and strategy and build concrete executable transactions
  • Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while coordinating multiple tasks / priorities
  • Ability to undertake strategic thinking and application in a dynamic environment

Qualifications


  • Master’s degree or equivalent knowledge/ experience; preferable CFA Charter Holder/ candidate
