Role Purpose


As Data & Insights Audit Manager, you will manage the design, implementation, and execution of data analytics solutions to support audit activities. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data-driven insights are integrated into audit processes, providing valuable information for risk assessment, control testing, and decision-making. This position plays a critical role in driving innovation and continuous improvement within the internal audit department.



BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



  • At least 8 years proven track record of delivering data analytics projects involving big data.
  • Required experience:
    • Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel. (Expert level experience on DAX and Power Query Editor is mandatory)
    • Working experience of developing data models on data schemas of SAP, Oracle Primevera or Enablon.
    •  Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and tools.
    • Strong understanding of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
    • Ability to design and implement data analytics methodologies to support audit objectives.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Qualifications sought
    • Graduate Degree or Master's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems)
    • Data Analytics, or equivalent certifications.
    • A commitment to continuing Education in auditing, project management, technology is required.  
    • Must become a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES



Technical Skills to develop, manage and deliver Data Analytics demand


  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of data analytics projects to support internal audit activities.
  • Ensure that data analytics solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical design documentation, timelines, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed to deliver high-quality data analytics solutions.

And Oversight


  • Supervise team members during projects to provide on the job training and mentoring as required.  Ensure that audit methodology and best practices are adhered to during the execution of audits and projects.
  • Ensure workloads across the team are managed effectively to deliver business plan and audit plan.
  • Identify and deliver on-going staff training requirements so that the IA department develops and maintains industry-leading audit and assurance culture. 
  • Grow relationships with professional audit and technology networks, to ensure that NEOM internal audit department is abreast of the latest audit technology trends and staff meet their professional qualification requirements.
  • Analyzes own strengths and weaknesses to maximize personal contribution to the organization
  • Anticipates and responds sensitively to staff problems, concerns and questions.
  • Strives for quality and excellence and encourages others to do the same.
  • Ensures effective team working by providing leadership, performance guidance, and support to NIA junior audit team members through coaching, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Participates in on-going IA projects to identify various business risks and non-compliance.
  • Performs real-time reviews of the audit team deliverables and provide constructive feedback as and when necessary.
  • Ensures that audit methodology and best practices are adhered to during the execution of audits and projects.
  • Role model NEOM Values demonstrating effective leadership to all NIA team members.
  • Understands and proactively manages IA leading practices and supports the evolvement of NIA into a world-class audit function.
  • Provides opportunities and proactive input in the development and career needs of others
  • Demonstrates strategic understanding of organizational context through thorough understanding of internal and external issues that can impact the organization and its objectives.
  • Manages and develops staff aligning audit deliverables with individual objectives.
  • Manages resource (including co-source) to deliver to budget and quality
  • Supports the Director and Senior Manager by performing any other related activities (e.g. special projects, department initiatives, due diligence, etc) to provide additional assurance as and when required.
