Data Engineering Manager

In this role you will be responsible to operate and execute Data Engineering and Architecture activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures
You will be responsible for
Collect and document business needs and requirements on the data warehouse in STA’s big data platform (Sidr), including platform architecture, data procurement, integration, management to empower the whole ecosystem (STA, trade, government and visitors) with evidence-based decision-making and support in their design and development
Support in developing optimised data models and Data-marts to empower the business with automated data and insight feed given business requirements  
Continuously monitor data to ensure all data collected, processed and stored is in line with established data governance protocols
Organize tasks and implement policies, processes, procedures, forms and tools
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account leading practices
Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner
Support peers across the organization when needed to perform their duties
Perform any other activities as and when required
You will need
At least 6 years of experience in research, data modelling and analytics
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Hospitality Management or equivalent is required

جمع وتوثيق احتياجات ومتطلبات العمل في مستودع البيانات في منصة البيانات بما في ذلك بنية النظام الأساسي والحصول على البيانات والتكامل والإدارة لتمكين النظام بأكمله من خلال اتخاذ قرارات قائمة على الأدلة
الدعم في تطوير نماذج البيانات المحسنة وأسواق البيانات لتمكين الأعمال من خلال البيانات الآلية وموجز الأفكار وفقًا لمتطلبات العمل
مراقبة البيانات باستمرار للتأكد من أن جميع البيانات التي تم جمعها ومعالجتها وتخزينها تتماشى مع بروتوكولات إدارة البيانات
تنظيم المهام وتنفيذ السياسات والعمليات والإجراءات والنماذج والأدوات
تحديد فرص التحسين المستمر للعمليات والممارسات مع مراعاة الممارسات الرائدة
تصعيد المشكلات لضمان إغلاق الحالة/المشكلة بكفاءة وفي الوقت المناسب
أداء أي أنشطة أخرى عند الحاجه
