Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Center Management
  • Operations Oversight: Manage power, cooling, and physical security for smooth data center operations.
  • System Monitoring: Implement alerts and alarms to ensure prompt response to critical issues.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Schedule and supervise maintenance, updates, and hardware/software testing for stability.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor and forecast space, power, and cooling needs to align with growth and technology trends.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and support a team of data center technicians, providing training and guidance.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure SLAs are met and quality standards maintained.
  • Backup Management
  • Data Backup Strategy: Develop and maintain an effective backup and recovery plan.
  • Testing and Validation: Regularly test backup systems and recovery processes for integrity and compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery: Align data center operations with broader disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of backup procedures, configurations, and recovery steps.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in data center operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications such as CDCMP, CompTIA Server+, or backup technology-specific credentials.
  • Key Skills:
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in servers, networking, storage, and infrastructure systems.
