Data Architect

Job Overview:

My client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join their consulting team. As a Data Architect, you will work closely with clients to design and implement tailored data solutions that meet their business requirements. The role requires a strong foundation in data management, architecture design, and integration, with an ability to create scalable and efficient data systems for a variety of industries. You will collaborate with client teams, stakeholders, and internal resources to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven strategies, ensuring that clients can make informed decisions based on high-quality, accessible data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients to understand their business needs and challenges, and translate them into customized data architecture solutions.
• Design scalable, high-performance data models and architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data streaming solutions.
• Implement and optimize data architectures to enable data-driven decision-making and business intelligence across client organizations.

• Lead the design and implementation of data integration strategies, ensuring seamless connectivity across disparate systems, applications, and cloud platforms.
• Architect ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines that ensure high-quality and accurate data is delivered to clients in a timely manner.
• Advise clients on data storage, management practices, and integration tools that are best suited for their business objectives.

• Provide expert advisory services on data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
• Recommend industry best practices for data modeling, database management, and data lifecycle management tailored to client needs.
• Guide clients through the implementation of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning integration.

• Work collaboratively with client teams, including data scientists, business analysts, software engineers, and leadership to define and deliver data architecture solutions.
• Translate technical jargon into clear, understandable insights and communicate solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist clients in defining data governance frameworks, security protocols, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

• Lead data architecture projects from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are adhered to.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, analysts, and technical staff working on client projects.
• Develop detailed documentation, reports, and presentations to share project progress, findings, and recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data architecture, data engineering, and data management.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions that improve data architecture efficiency, scalability, and flexibility for clients.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing to the development of internal best practices and methodologies for data architecture projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or in a similar consulting or client-facing role.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing data architectures, data models, and integration solutions for complex business needs.
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• In-depth knowledge of data integration tools, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines.
• Proven ability to work closely with clients, understand their business challenges, and translate those into actionable data strategies.
• Experience with data governance, data quality management, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
• Previous experience in a consulting environment, working with multiple clients across diverse industries.
• Knowledge of machine learning models and their integration into data solutions.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture frameworks such as microservices and serverless computing.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an office or remote environment as required.
• Some travel may be necessary for client meetings and project engagements.
