Responsibilities
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified security risks
- Assist in the design, deployment, and configuration of security technologies and tools
- Engage in security solutioning to recommend and tailor appropriate security tools and technologies based on the client's requirements and threat landscape
- Monitor and analyze security events, logs, and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security measures into the overall IT infrastructure
- Provide support and training to end-users on security best practices and policies
- Contribute to the development of security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a robust security governance framework, including risk management, compliance, and incident response processes
- Participate in the creation and review of security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to promote a strong security culture
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry regulations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's security posture and the evolution of its cybersecurity strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles
- Some exposure to common security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Understanding of security governance frameworks at a high level, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT
- Ability to interpret security data and identify potential issues
- Willingness to learn and apply security risk assessment methodologies
- Interest in security solutioning and the desire to develop skills in designing and implementing security solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eagerness to continuously learn and grow in the cybersecurity field
- Relevant internship or hands-on experience in a cybersecurity-related role is a plus, but not required
