Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customs Clearance Officer to manage the clearance of goods through Saudi Arabian customs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and import/export procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws while facilitating the efficient flow of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Customs Documentation & Filing: Prepare, submit, and manage all required documentation for customs clearance, including invoices, shipping documents, certificates of origin, and declarations.
Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all shipments comply with Saudi Arabian customs regulations, laws, and policies. Stay updated with any changes in legislation.
Customs Duty & Tariff Calculation: Determine applicable tariffs, taxes, and duties, and ensure timely payment of all required fees.
Clearance Process Management: Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure that goods are cleared smoothly and on time, handling any issues that arise during the process.
Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between customs authorities, shipping agents, and internal teams to resolve any issues and expedite the clearance process.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and take corrective actions to prevent delays or compliance issues.
Reporting: Prepare reports for internal stakeholders regarding shipment status, customs compliance, and any discrepancies or delays.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cleared shipments for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
knowledge of Saudi customs laws, regulations, and tariffs.
Strong understanding of import/export processes and international trade.
Ability to effectively communicate with customs authorities and logistics partners.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using customs software, Excel, and other relevant systems.
