Job Description
We are committed to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients, and we are currently seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager to join our team and oversee prime projects within the Project Management Office (PMO).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts for PMO projects
- Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure that contracts meet project requirements and are in compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Implement effective contract management processes and tools to monitor key contractual obligations, deliverables, and deadlines
- Lead contract negotiations and discussions with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms and conditions
- Analyze contract performance and make recommendations for improvements or amendments to optimize project outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related issues and risks
- Ensure that all parties involved in the contracts are aware of their obligations and responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation and records
- Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to identify and address potential risks and issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment with contract requirements and project objectives
- Lead the resolution of contract disputes and claims, working closely with legal counsel and project teams to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to contract management, and propose enhancements to existing processes and policies
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial reporting related to contracts
- Prepare regular reports and updates on contract performance, milestones, and liabilities for senior management and project stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of standardized contract templates, guidelines, and procedures to streamline the contract management process across the PMO
- Participate in contract kick-off meetings, project reviews, and other project-related discussions to provide contractual insights and guidance
- Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors and suppliers, including compliance with contract terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for project teams to enhance their understanding of contract management principles and best practices
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process efficiencies within the contract management function
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the PMO environment
- Proven track record of managing complex contracts and delivering successful project outcomes
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and procurement practices
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools
- Relevant certifications in contract management or project management (e.g., CPCM, PMP) will be an advantage
