It will also feature an iconic museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose immersive theater, and more than 80 entertainment and culture venues.
The project will be situated at the intersection of King Salman and King Khalid roads to the North West of Riyadh, over an area of 19 square kilometers, to accommodate hundreds of thousands of residents. The project will offer more than 25 million sqm of floor area, featuring more than 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, and more than 980,000 sqm of retail space, as well as 1.4 million sqm of office space, 620,000 sqm of leisure assets, and 1.8 million sqm of space dedicated to community facilities.
The New Murabba project will offer a unique living, working and entertainment experience within a 15-minute walking radius and will have its own internal transport system. It will be approximately 20-minutes' drive from the airport.

Job Summary:



Bechtel are providing Project Management Consultancy Services on the New Murabba Project in Riyadh, the home of the Mukaab.
The advertised role is for an exciting position on a fast paced and challenging project, working in multi-disciplinary teams on Riyadh’s ambitious vision for a new, modern downtown. Powered by technology of the future and inspired by Saudi Arabia’s rich traditions and culture, this mega project is one of the world’s leading and most ambitious construction projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with experts in their field, coordinating the procurement of highly complex tender packages and/or supervising the procurement of simple / moderately complex tender packages. #LI-RG1

Major Responsibilities:



Providing detailed feedback on impacts of implementation of execution, packaging strategies as well as contract pricing structures and procurement routes. Prequalification (or management of) Drafting of tender plans (Procurement Strategies) and other governance documents including evaluation criteria for approval by the Client for Coordination of the activities of Bechtel, the Client and the Client’s Consultants and Contractors Organisation of tenderer meetings/workshops, such as bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the client, and contractor on all contractual matters. Review of Contract Terms and Conditions, collaborating closely with the Client’s advisors Developing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents utilizing project templates Issue of Tenders and management of the Tender process utilizing project templates Evaluation of submitted tenders, negotiations with client and tenderers and drafting of recommendation to award documents in line with established procedures and customer’s delegated authorities’ matrix utilizing project templates. Final conforming and award of associated contracts utilizing project templates.

Education and Experience Requirements:



Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) 15+ years of relevant work experience. Experience of working on large infrastructure projects and/or large real estate developments Professional Accreditation (MRICS, MCIPS or equivalent) is preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:



Experience and working knowledge in contract pricing structures, contract law, contract drafting, tendering procedures & requirements. Working knowledge of the FIDIC Suite of Contracts and their utilization on major construction projects Ability to meticulously review contracts and documents for accuracy and compliance, identifying potential issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Understanding of project management principles and practices to oversee contract execution against project timelines Experience in evaluating and negotiating contract claims, variations, and extensions. Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial principles related to project contracts. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple contracts and ensure documentation is thorough and accessible. Knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable government and commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures, and work practices
