Job Description
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Commis III to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Commis III, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various hot dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Support senior chefs in menu preparation and execution
- Participate in food presentation and plating to meet our high standards
- Properly store and rotate food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and new dishes
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Continuously develop culinary skills and knowledge under the guidance of senior chefs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
- Expertise in hot kitchen operations and techniques
- Culinary education or relevant vocational training
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Proficiency in knife skills and various cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and quality
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic English language skills; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
