About the job Commis Chef

Our client is seeking dedicated Commis Chefs to join their dynamic kitchen team at a sushi restaurant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidates will have a keen interest in Japanese cuisine and a desire to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation of sushi and other Japanese dishes.Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required for menu items.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.Learn and apply proper sushi techniques and presentation skills.Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation.Participate in daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock rotation.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Commis Chef/Junior Chef or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.A passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to learn and adapt.Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
