ROLE OVERVIEW
Commercial Manager role will aid the Trojena commercial functions to ensure effective programme delivery. Provides in-house assistance to the commercial aspects of the Project.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Senior Contract Management in pre-award procurement, contract administration, claims management / dispute resolution, and contract close-out for consultant, supply, engineering and construction contracts.
- Assist in the Trojena contracting strategy to ensure effective programme delivery, forming an effective management medium between NEOM’s legal, procurement and leadership team and all external service providers particularly the IPMT.
- Provide commercial management to ensure effective programme, financial goals and budget delivery, forming an effective management medium between NEOM’s Trojena leadership team and external service providers.
- Provide analysis, challenge and contribute to identifying value opportunities, along with appropriate recommendations and supporting material as required to the Senior Commercial Manager.
- Provide oversight to the delivery of regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and programme sponsors are adequately appraised of statuses, successes, risks and issues.
- Assist in team retrospective programme to ensure “lessons learned” are leveraged from project insights, to facilitate rapid improvement in the on-going construction programme and ensure that structured feedback is provided on delivery team performance.
- Participates in the Commercial Evaluation Panel during the procurement process.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 7+ years of construction industry experience, with at least 3 years commercial management experience earned with Project Management Consultant’s.
- At least 3 years of industry experience gained in the Gulf Region.
- Proven track record of commercially managing a major contractor or consultant delivering significant programmes of work.
- Demonstrated track record of Commercial Risk Management.
- Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction implementation.
- Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
- Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and managing high performing individuals and teams.
- The ability to be a team player, that motivates and educates other team members and comprehends complex, technical subjects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals. Business Language is English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered with a relevant professional qualification.
