Classified Substitute is an on-call as needed position. Substitutes may work in a variety of different positions depending on their work experience.

The following are required for this position prior to hire:
Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward with DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance process
Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination (Required upon hire or exemption may be requested to HR) TB clearance All District employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Successful applicants for this position will be required to submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or request an exemption for qualifying medical or religious reasons during the onboarding process. Applicants should not present proof of vaccination until directed to do so by the District’s Human Resources Office. Classified Substitute is an on-call as needed position Ideal applicants should have experience in the following areas: 1. Prepares (such as preps, bakes, cooks, heating) and packages food items for the purpose of providing general consumption by students and staff. 2. Serves food and beverage items for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and requests of students and staff both indoors and outdoors. 3. Stocks food items and supplies for the purpose of maintaining adequate quantities for food and supplies. 4. Inspects food items and supplies for the purpose of verifying accurate quantities of deliveries and orders. 5. Cleans equipment and work area for the purpose of maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition. 6. Collects money for the purpose of completing meal transactions. 7. Serve as a Cashier, collect monies and provide correct change. 8. Follow California Retail Food Code (CalCode) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control point) procedures as directed. 9. Maintain the kitchen, storeroom, and freezers in a neat and organized manner. 10. Assists other staff, for the purpose of providing support and back-up for their work assignments.
