As one of the longest established of Cundall’s many disciplines, the Civil Engineering team are a source of world leading expertise – and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our Riyadh office to play a role in the development of our regional civil engineering team and the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious civil engineering design projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worldwide.
Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, as well as colleagues across a range of various engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
You will work with our team of Civil Engineers for all aspects of infrastructure design across a numerous and varied portfolio of civil engineering projects, concerned predominantly with infrastructure within the built environment.
You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership (CEng) if not already achieved.
The Skills
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng), you should have demonstrable experience in a Civil Engineering role within a consultancy environment, and be well versed in relevant civil design software such as AutoCAD, GIS, Water GEMS, Sewer GEMS, ICM and Civil 3D.
You will have relevant or working experience in civil engineering design relating to the built environment, including the design and interfacing of infrastructure (for example wet utilities design, dry utility interfaces and requirements, drainage systems, utility infrastructure coordination and spatial planning). An understanding of earthworks and highways would also be advantageous.
The candidate shall have experience in developing schemes ranging from Concept and Detailed Masterplanning on to Detailed Design and Construction with an awareness of approval processes. You shall also possess a good understanding of delivering projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and of local codes and standards.
Experience of infrastructure as part of buildings projects and working closely with other disciplines is essential in the role. The successful candidate will possess both technical knowledge and managerial ability with a proven track record in being able to successfully deliver projects (on time and within budgetary constraints) and have the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and less experienced engineers to deliver to and exceed client expectations. Crucially, you share Cundall’s passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design.
