Civil Engineering - Marine and Ports (Saudi Arabia)

Eram Talent is a leader in providing tailored recruitment services. We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in Marine and Ports to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to a variety of marine infrastructure projects, focusing on the design and construction of ports and other marine structures.

Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, design, and execution of marine engineering projects, ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations. We are looking for a proactive individual who excels in collaborative environments and demonstrates strong technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering design packages (marine, coastal, port, and other civil structures) across the client’s project portfolio to ensure compliance with the client’s procedures and guidelines, as well as local and international engineering codes and standards.
• Address technical queries regarding the interpretation and use of the client’s, local, and international civil engineering codes and standards.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations as required.
• Plan and manage civil engineering tasks as instructed by/in coordination with management.
• Help maintain a database of current engineering codes and standards on the client’s portal.
• Review technical aspects of applications for deviations from the client’s Plan of Work and advise management on the suitability of documentation for approval.
• Review and continually update the client’s procedures, guidelines, and manuals based on operational requirements and the technical needs and strategies of the client’s departments and sectors.
• Interact with local and international code authorities and institutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners as required to ensure that all reviews are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
• Make presentations to management and other departments and sectors.
• Lead and participate in technical workshops for the client’s employees.
• Support team members to effectively improve team performance.
• Help create a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Knowledge

• Expert knowledge of gravity quay walls, armored revetments, rock groins, beach retention structures, steel sheet piles, dredging, and reclamation.
• Expert knowledge of reinforced concrete structures in marine environments such as port aprons, dolphins, mooring structures, etc.
• Good knowledge of numerical hydraulic modelling (hydrodynamic, spectral wave, etc.)
• General knowledge and orientation in the latest trends in civil engineering, innovation, technology, and construction techniques.
