As Chief Investemnt Officer you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies to maximize returns and minimize risks. This includes managing and monitoring the performance of the investment portfolio, overseeing financial models, and securing financing for real estate projects.
Key AccountabilitiesThe position involves:
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on selecting, managing, and monitoring investment portfolios to maximize returns and minimize risks.
- Lead the development of investment feasibility models for large-scale projects in the Western Region from initiation to execution.
- Prepare and present investment committee reports for various stage-gate submissions to the board.
- Support project development teams to enhance project returns through efficiency and cost optimization.
- Evaluate real estate development opportunities, considering market trends and dynamics.
- Develop financial models, feasibility studies, and capital structure analysis for projects.
- Manage the design process, including conceptual, schematic, and detailed design phases.
- Set project timelines, identify key action plans, and oversee cash flow management, financial performance, and budget monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular reports on project progress, market research, and economic conditions.
- Secure financing for real estate projects and manage equity valuations and financial statement analysis.
- Engage with stakeholders to align on investment strategies and goals.
- Analyze portfolio, investment, and asset performance, and lead consultancy services and third-party engagements.
- Contribute to preparing the company’s investment plan and ensure its implementation, follow-up, and review.
- Prepare executive summaries for investment studies, presenting findings to investors.
- Develop multiple scenarios to achieve the highest return on investments.
- Manage the company’s financing portfolio, including communication with financial entities, meeting financing conditions, and projecting financing terms into the financial models.
- Coordinate with external parties, such as feasibility consultants and accredited real estate valuation firms.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification or equivalent professional investment certification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management or related fields.
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and presenting financial insights).
- Financial acumen to analyze financial data and market strategies for informed investment decisions.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders and investors.
- Deep understanding of various investment products such as stocks, bonds, real estate, private equity, hedge funds, and alternatives.
- Professional certifications in investment management or related fields.
- Proven track record in managing investment portfolios and real estate development projects.
- Experience in financial modeling, feasibility studies, and capital structure analysis.
- Expertise in cash flow management, financial performance tracking, and budget monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills for equity valuation, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements in real estate and investment sectors.
