Job Description

"Chief Accountant"

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

  1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  3. provide all requirements for external Auditors for Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  4. Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations and develop professional development plans for team members.
  6. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  7. Monitor financial performance against budget and provide analysis of variances.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) in a senior accounting role, with at least X years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP and ERP systems is a must.
  • Extensive experience using SAP for financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
