Job Description:
As a Chicken and Machinery Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality poultry and agricultural machinery to meet our company's production and operational needs. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure poultry, and related products, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers .
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of both poultry and machinery.
Coordinate with the production and operations teams to understand procurement needs.
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably or poultry industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of poultry farming practices and agricultural machinery.
Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
