- Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends.
- Identify and establish long-term partnerships with direct distributors and salers.
- Stay on the lookout for new suppliers based on strategy.
- Assist in setting the yearly budget/sale target and profit per category.
- Administer the price setting and respect the margin per category.
- Monitor and enhance category/product performance.
- Establish long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Create trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
Monitor price and competition.
- Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
-Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category.
Minimum Experience:3+ years of experience as a buyer/Category Manager in the grocery field(Fresh/Food/non-food)
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent.
