We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager to join our dynamic team in the food industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the growth of specific food categories within our business. This role involves developing category strategies, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to optimize product offerings and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category growth.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the best pricing and quality for products.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and merchandising teams to create effective promotional strategies.
  • Monitor category performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Conduct regular reviews of category performance and report findings to senior management.
  • Ensure product assortment meets customer needs and aligns with company goals.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the food market and industry trends is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software.
