Job Description


Product Line: Microbiology and Urine Analysis
Travel Requirement: 50% Western Region, 50% Central RegionBasic PurposeThe Buisness Manager will be responsible for developing and growing the Microbiology & Urine Analysis platforms across Saudi Arabia by leading and managing a team of skilled Sales & Application Specialists.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Management
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with Saudi Key Opinion Leaders, Lab Directors, national procurement bodies, and hospital procurement departments.
  • Lead and manage Sales Revenue and Gross Profit for the designated product lines, aligned with the company's Strategic Plan.
  • Drive market share growth through both CP and direct business channels.
  • Set and monitor commercial objectives for the team.
  • Maintain a healthy, updated sales funnel and oversee the MB/IRIS Sales Funnel reviews.
  • Identify market segments and customer growth opportunities, developing appropriate growth plans in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Assist in launching new products and ensuring effective communication of marketing messages.
  • Attend local and international industry events and tradeshows to stay current with market trends.
  • Conduct market trend analysis and prepare market share analysis reports.
  • Perform competitor analysis to stay ahead of market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Managers and the GM on pricing strategies.
Resource Management
  • Manage the strategic placement of hardware in key accounts to ensure optimal ROI.
  • Support the recruitment and selection of Clinical Application and Product Specialists.
  • Work closely with CP to ensure adequate resources for driving profitable growth.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for the team.
Distributor Management
  • Manage relationships with distributors, ensuring complete market visibility.
  • Collaborate with distributor sales teams to set sales targets and activity plans for each account, conducting joint customer visits as needed.
  • Evaluate distributor performance and participate in scorecard reviews.
  • Ensure CP builds the necessary capabilities to support the product line and customers, including product knowledge, compliance training, and funnel management.
  • Partner with CP on the 3-Year Business Plan.
Danaher Business System (DBS)
  • Participate in Kaizen and PSP events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a DBS culture within the team.
  • Take part in growth room and funnel reviews.
Knowledge, Competencies, and Experience
  • Education: B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of success in the diagnostics industry, with experience in laboratory diagnostics.
  • In-depth knowledge of various business models within the diagnostics industry (e.g., Reagent Deal, GPPRR).
  • Experience working with distributors and CPs.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders including end-users, purchasing agents, and distributors.
  • Highly flexible and agile, with a willingness to travel frequently.
