Job Description

Overview:


As the Business Lead for Cloud Technologies, Infrastructure, and Backup Solutions, you will drive the development of innovative service offerings, identify new sales opportunities, and manage strategic vendor partnerships. Your role is crucial in shaping the company’s market position by leading the creation and launch of cutting-edge solutions, guiding the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, and ensuring alignment with industry trends and vendor requirements. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cloud and IT infrastructure who can lead the company’s efforts to excel in these key areas.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Development:


  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the cloud technologies, infrastructure, and backup solutions markets.
  • Implement strategies to generate leads, engage prospects, and convert them into revenue-generating customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive the sales process from initial engagement to deal closure, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Engage directly with key accounts to understand their needs and position the company’s cloud, infrastructure, and backup solutions as the best fit.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of technical proposals, including responses to RFPs, ensuring that the company’s offerings are clearly articulated and compelling.
  • Oversee technical demonstrations and workshops that showcase the company’s solutions and align with strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within existing accounts, introducing new services or enhancements that contribute to customer success and company growth.

Service Offering Development:


  • Lead the creation and development of new or existing service offerings focused on cloud technologies, infrastructure, and backup solutions.
  • Design and launch innovative service offerings that address market demands and differentiate the company in the competitive landscape.
  • Ensure that new service offerings align with vendor requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the development and execution of business plans that support the introduction of new services and products within these sectors.
  • Ensure all new offerings are well-defined, properly documented, and effectively marketed
  • Create and disseminate content such as white papers, technical concept notes, product plans, and market analyses to support internal teams and enhance customer engagement.

Strategic Vendor and Partnership Management:


  • Build and manage relationships with leading cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google), infrastructure, and backup solution vendors.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder for business reviews, partnership requirements, and strategic planning with vendors and distributors.
  • Guide internal teams to meet vendor requirements, achieve necessary competencies, and maximize partnership benefits.

Market Engagement and Industry Insights:


  • Attend industry events, conferences, and other functions to stay informed about the latest trends in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and backup solutions.
  • Leverage market knowledge to craft unique value propositions and position the company’s services as market leaders.

Requirements

Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on cloud technologies, infrastructure, and backup solutions.
  • Proven success in building and managing partnerships with cloud providers and vendors in infrastructure and backup solutions.
  • Experience leading the sales cycle from opportunity creation to deal closing, with a focus on strategic growth in these sectors.
  • Experience in developing and launching new service offerings and services that drive business growth.

Skills:


  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and backup solutions markets.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on innovation and strategic growth.
