Your Opportunity
The purpose of this position is to lead and drive growth within the aviation & mobility sector, with a particular focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. This role is critical in building partnerships, delivering tailored solutions and aligning our offerings with the strategic priorities of the sector and related organizations in the region.
The role will report to the Transport Business Unit Director where aviation & mobility contracts are in operation.
To be successful in this role, you can be based from either UAE or KSA, however please note that you will be required to spend a minimum of 3 weeks per month in KSA
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Business Development
- Lead, identify, develop, win and close new business opportunities primarily in aviation & mobility sector in Saudi & the UAE.
- Lead and deliver against a GBP10m new business ACV target for 2025.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international organisations.
- Lead market analysis and research to identify emerging trends and customer needs in the aviation & mobility services domain.
- To successfully navigate bids through Serco’s internal governance process; obtaining relevant approvals at each stage of the cycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and advocate for Serco at a senior level externally and internally.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events in KSA and the GCC region.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting value propositions.
Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain detailed records of business development activities and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and cultural considerations in KSA.
Bid Support
- Lead and motivate high performing bid teams, in accordance with Serco’s governing principles, with an expectation to be competitive, compliant and win.
- Accountability to own the opportunity throughout the bid process and lead bid teams to a successful winning technical and commercial solution.
- Where required, lead the strategic development of bids to ensure a persuasive, commercially competitive offering that fully reflects customer requirements.
- To successfully navigate bids through Serco’s internal governance process; obtaining relevant approvals at each stage of the cycle.
