About the job Business Development Manager
We are seeking a visionary Business Development Manager to join a prestigious culinary academy in Saudi Arabia dedicated to promoting social change through educational excellence and innovation. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding the academy's reach and influence, developing strategic partnerships, and driving business growth locally and internationally. You will also lead initiatives that align with the academy's mission of developing future culinary leaders and promoting sustainable culinary practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations, institutions, and businesses that share the academy's vision and mission. Collaborate with industry stakeholders to enhance the academy's reputation and reach.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute revenue generation strategies to ensure financial sustainability, which may include fundraising, grant applications, sponsorships, and business development initiatives.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends within the culinary education sector. Utilize this knowledge to make data-driven decisions and develop innovative programs.
- Business Development Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives to expand the academy's offerings, both locally and internationally, ensuring alignment with the academy's strategic objectives.
- Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist and Communications Officer to create marketing campaigns and materials that effectively communicate the academy's unique value proposition and engage with their target audience.
- Alumni Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with academy alumni, leveraging their success stories to demonstrate the academy's impact and value.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the department, including the Digital Marketing Specialist, Sales Officer, Graphic Designer, and Student Recruitment Officer, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to business development.
- Budget Management: Manage the department's budget effectively to maximize resources for growth and sustainability.
- Team Leadership: The Business Development Manager is accountable for leading, mentoring, and developing the business development team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. This includes encouraging professional growth and ensuring that the staff align with the academy's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fields.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the education, food & beverage and culinary sectors.
- Proven success in driving business growth, developing partnerships, and generating revenue.
- Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian business landscape and cultural context.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Passion for education and culinary arts, and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices.
