Your role:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team and play a key role in expanding our "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) platform by signing up new merchants for both online and in-store integrations. This role is ideal for a proactive, customer-centric professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited by the prospect of contributing to the growth of an innovative fintech company.

Your responsibilities:

Merchant Acquisition

Identify, engage, and onboard new merchants for our BNPL platform, building a robust pipeline of prospective partners in both the online and brick-and-mortar retail sectors. Leverage various outreach strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and face-to-face interactions, to secure partnerships. Conduct demos and presentations to educate merchants on our BNPL product features, benefits, and integration processes.

Relationship Building

Establish and nurture strong relationships with potential merchants to understand their unique business needs and demonstrate how our BNPL solutions can drive their growth. Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding phase and work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth merchant integration process.

Sales Strategy Execution

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to execute merchant acquisition strategies that align with company goals. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and merchant needs to identify new opportunities and optimize acquisition tactics. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for merchant acquisition and active usage.

Market Insights & Feedback Loop

Gather feedback from merchants on product functionality, user experience, and desired features, and relay this information to the product team to inform ongoing improvements. Provide insights into market dynamics, merchant needs, and sales tactics to contribute to strategy refinement.

Your expertise:

Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, results-driven environment. Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Attributes
