Job Description


1.   KEY JOB:

1.1.     His main responsibility is for all aspects of company’s Sales and Distribution policy and strategy that need to be implemented at Branch level including Collections, Credit Control, Stock Control, Key Account Management, Customer’s Contracts, Category Management, Space Management and the management of Sales Force at the Branch level.

2.   Specific Responsibilities:

2.1.     Sales and Collections Vs. achievement of the Targets for all Divisions in the Branch.


2.2.     Ensure proper coverage and increase in distribution/ no. of outlets for all Sales Force under him.

2.3.     For all debt in the market place and.


2.4.     The organization of all Divisional Sales Supervisors with regards to journey planning and the control of Salesmen workload and constant monitoring of results.


2.5.     Motivation and organization of all members of the Sales staff.


2.6.     In the case of disciplinary matters, the following limits will apply:

First    : Verbal Warning – Notification to Branch Manager


Second : Written Warning


Third : Written Warning and deduction of salary up to 10 days – copy to Branch Manager and Finance Manager


Fourth : Recommendation of Termination to Branch Manager.-2-


2.7.     To give the Quarterly Sales Targets to his Team and monitor the performance of a weekly basis.


2.8.     To visit all his major accounts as at least once every two weeks with this salesmen.


2.9.     To make sure that his products are well displayed, clean looking and prices correctly in his Customers outlets as well as, customers are well serviced.


2.10. To fully understand the pricing and promotional programs of the competition and to report to the Branch Manager any new ideas that appear on the market.


2.11. To listen and discuss with individual Salesman any problems concerning customers, pricing, special offers etc.


2.12. To always try to find ways of improving the performance of his sales team and make recommendations to his Branch Manager.


2.13. In case of any problem that could hurt the performance of the Branch, to notify and discuss immediately the issues with the Branch Manager and come up with a solution.


2.14. To maintain a very close watch on his receivables and keep accounts and the Branch Manager informed.


2.15. To be responsible for keeping old customers in good shape or even better, as well as, to make necessary checks on new customers. To find ways and means to develop key accounts customers so that to increase business and present his plans to the Branch Manager.


2.16. Yearly staff appraisals.


2.17. To organize daily, weekly, monthly Sales Reps route / visits plan or call cycles to customers after surveying the market place by number of outlets available on the ground, by zone by segments.

2.19. To make sure Sales Reps are following daily route plans, through Daily Sales Reports and managing his time in a very productive way.


2.20. To keep close coaching to his Sales Reps on how to service customer’s properly and also brands in charge of, for proper distribution and merchandising. This would include Sales Training of Staff in the field.


2.21. To make sure (put plan and set objectives by dates and time limits) to increase no. of customers and no. of product’s listing in each customer.


2.22. To work out key customer’s Yearly Contracts, Display’s Contracts and follow its proper implementation to achieve its objectives and goals and keep a very good relationship with those Customers.


2.23. To control and monitor closely merchandiser’s work and needs to P.O.P. and P.O.S. materials. To ensure that customers, products, shelves are properly serviced.


2.24. To make analysis every month/week on results, identify opportunities, define an action plan of growth to the Branch Manager.


2.25. Approve after checking Sales Orders/Returns/Discounts…etc. within Companies Policies. For any case different, he should revert back to the Branch Manager.
