Job purpose statement


Team leader for Operations team on day-to-day basis.


Scope


  • Operation activities as described in service contract.
  • Operations shift team lead and services restoration.
  • Work floor supervision on-shift and front-liner.

Qualification and abilities


  • Middle level technical education
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Baggage Operation.
  • Minimum 2 years team leader experience.
  • Team builder and work floor supervisor.
  • Communicate, read, and write the English language (mid to high level).
  • Proper communication capabilities.

Responsibilities


  • Ensure all Operation activities are executed properly in a timely manner.
  • Plan Operations activities on day-to-day basis.
  • Reporting team performance on daily basis.
  • Available to the engineers to advise and support services restoration.
  • Communicate observations to site base team and line managers.
  • Take lead role in training and familiarization of operators for assigned services.
  • Take ownership to ensure that area is clean and hazard free.
  • Manage and co-ordinate work floor supervision when executing specialist operations activities on-shift.
  • Responsible for the contractors and general workers performance management and assignment of service activities to operators.
  • Isolating activities to ensure that work can be carried out safely for all parties (maintenance engineers and third parties).
  • Ensuring healthy throughput and baggage flow.
  • Executing SOPs and contingencies during breakdowns.
  • Ensure proper scheduling and allocation of resources and operators during peak time to avoid any bottlenecks or disruption to operations.
  • Co-ordinate with line managers internally for alignment with stakeholders on daily basis for operations related activities.

  • Check safe working conditions and procedures.
  • Train new joiners/operators with recurrent training requirements.
