Associate, Diversified Infra Investment Management, Riyadh

About this role

BlackRock’s Diversified Infrastructure Investment team (“BGIF”) is seeking an Associate to join its global team based in the Riyadh office. This position will play a key role in driving the execution and oversight of direct equity investments in infrastructure projects and companies, with a broad scope including the energy, digital and transportation & logistics sectors. The team in London and Riyadh covers existing and potential investments across EMEA. The associate will also spend time in the US to participate in firm-wide activities.

The candidate assumes a multi-faceted role which requires a passion for the infrastructure sector, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical and conceptual skills and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Investments: driving the due diligence, structuring, negotiation and closing of direct investment opportunities in the global energy infrastructure sector.

Portfolio Management: ongoing management of completed investments and, in due course, exit processes

Knowledge/Experience:

• Two to four years of experience in a professional environment with strong exposure to the infrastructure sector, ideally partially obtained in a buy-side environment.
• Candidates could also be considered with robust backgrounds in relevant industry teams in investment banking / M&A environments.
• Strong financial analytical, teamworking and communication skills required.
• Candidates are expected to have a strong academic background and highly rated in their careers to date.

• Project management and organization skills
• Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills capable of dealing with complex, multicultural teams with internal and external members.

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and willing to assume additional responsibilities

Our hybrid work model
